Darby is a clinical counsellor and rehabilitation consultant with Humanworks. She offers consulting and coaching services to members of the BC Teachers’ Federation and BC Principals & Vice-Principals’ Association, as well as group facilitation and training, including The Well Teacher Groups. She is the regional team lead for the Vancouver Island area, providing support for Humanworks consultants and collaborating with senior management.
Darby holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dalhousie University and a Master of Arts in Disability Management from the University of Northern British Columbia. She has extensive experience in organizational wellness, leadership coaching, and psychological safety in the workplace.
Darby’s offers a compassionate yet pragmatic approach to connecting the individual experience to larger systemic and cultural factors. She has dedicated her career to helping folks at the intersection of wellbeing and work, specifically addressing the things that get in the way of feeling well, effective, and fulfilled.
When not working, Darby is busy with family life, running, gardening, and yoga. She connects with her community as president of the board of directors for the Canadian Mental Health Association – Mid-Island Branch.
