Rehabilitation Consultant

Tara is a rehabilitation consultant for Humanworks. She has over ten years of experience supporting different populations, including people affected by mental health issues, addiction and substance abuse, acquired brain injuries, involvement in the criminal justice system, and with vocational rehabilitation for those with personal injuries. She also previously worked as a special education teacher at an elementary school.

Tara holds an Associate of Arts degree from Langara College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, a Graduate Diploma in Psychosocial Rehabilitation from Douglas College, and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Adler University. She is a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP) and has completed training in cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, critical incident stress management, and trauma informed care.

Outside of work, Tara enjoys playing sports including soccer, softball, and pickleball, both recreationally and competitively. She enjoys travelling and has visited nearly 50 countries. She also enjoys cooking and sharing meals with family and friends.
